I have joined 1000 Gifts Gratitude Community, but I want to also continue the Thankful Thursday Meme. I now noticed there are themes each week. I'll try and stay with that theme. This week it is freedom. If you noticed a couple posts down, I mention praying for all my visitors, readers, followers, etc that they too will experience freedom, political but also more importantly spiritual. That is what I'm thankful for this week is spiritual freedom. I'm thankful for my grandparents who emigrated to this country seeking political and religious freedom. I'm also thankful for spiritual freedom for myself as I journey on my spiritual search (as I write about on my other blog--"What is a Real Christian") I have the freedom to search the Scriptures, ask questions, pray, and learn more about Jesus. For that freedom I'm truly blessed and thankful.

That is so true-we are blessed to be able to search the scriptures and learn more about Christ! You may like the meme I started on my Proverbial Sunrise blog. Each month I share an attribute to meditate on for the month and each wee (Tuesday) you can link up and share ways that you have experienced God. This month the theme is unchangeable. Blessings! Amanda:)
Spiritual freedom is overlooked by many and taken for granted. The freedom to ask questions is a great one to talk about. Enjoyed your thankful post.
The Truth sets us free!
thank God for freedom!
wonderful post - Praise God for freedom in Christ Jesus!
Great post! I like what you said about your grandparents coming to this country for political and spiritual freedom. We as Americans, all have some ancestor who emigrated here for a better life. We need to be thankful for their sacrifice! In one branch of my family, an ancestor came here as an indentured servant because he wanted freedom so badly. I wonder ... would we be willing to do that today?
Freedom... what a wonderful gift we have been given!
Happy Thankful Thursday!
This is why I love to read Corrie ten Boom so much. She was always so faithful to Christ, even when she didn't have the "freedom" to do so. Nobody can take that freedom away, because nobody can take our soul and thoughts away from us.
Amen!

Thanks for the visit and the comment last WFW.I agree we are so blessed to have that freedom that is why we need to make use of it and be a good steward.God bless!
Thanks for your comment a week or so ago! I just had a chance to check out your blog, and I too am grateful for freedom. I was brought up in a Marine household and married into the Army, so I fully understand the cost of freedom. How much more as believers do we have the ultimate freedom in Christ!
Have a great 4th!
