Thanks ladies for praying for me today. Briefly in one sentence: I survived the dentist okay. :) Some suspicious teeth, but no immediate action is required. Ok, that was more than one sentence but thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
I have a quick question for you all...
Would you buy this Bible for either yourself or another person or even an unsaved friend or relative? Please see the sample pages, the video and please read the whole page that contains more of the 'interview' information, that contains the motives behind the Bible, and also read the customer reviews. Then come back and share your feelings. Thanks.

No, I would definitely not buy this for myself, or anyone else. There is only one Bible, Gods word. I do not want mans word.
I'd have to say that I agree with Denise, and I couldn't have said it better myself. :-))

Absolutely not. The translation doesn't sit well with me. Then adding the pictures? To make it "culturally relevant?" You mean the Bible isn't culturally relevant as is? (ummm, some sarcasm there, sorry)
I agree with you all...I certainly wouldn't buy this particular Bible at all. Thanks for commenting.
i'm glad your dentist appointment went well. regarding your question if i'd buy that book for myself or for others, my answer is no. just like what thia said, it doesn't sit well with me... let me change that a bit... it doesn't sit RIGHT with me.
I'm behind in reading and resonding, but I wouldn't buy this either. The Bible is the same yesterday, today and forever. This idea that we need to make everything culturally relative doesn't sit right with me.
