My sad flower pot

Well, thanks to ~Brenda's encouragement in the comment section in the last post, the REAL me is going to come out. Now not all of it, after all this is the world wide web. But more than my other three blogs.

I have to say my flower pot outside is SOOOO lonely. It has lovely violas in it. But this time last year I had 28 pots!! Yes you read it right!.....TWENTY EIGHT POTS. My fingers are just ACHING to get to the business of flower gardening outside. The last frost date has passed.

BUT

We are moving during June, and dear hubby has said he's not transporting a carload of pots. So I have one outside pot, that I just HAD to get at the end of April + 3 indoor pots of houseplants that dear hubby said I could have over the winter. Previously we had been scared the cat would get to any indoor pots, but we rigged up a place where she doesn't bother it. So inside the house, I have a Christmas (or is it a Thanksgiving, or even an Easter)cactus, a jade plant and an African Violet.

BUT

I miss my outdoor pots.

Alas, as soon as we are moved in, guess where we are going? "Kiddo" (my online name for my offspring) is going to explore the woods of the new house, and I'm going to the nearby nurseries. It will not be 28 pots. After all I have to get used to the 'environment' see where the sun and shade is. After all, you know, plants ARE particular that way, giggle. But it will be a handful...how many, we'll just have to see!

But, meanwhile, I'll enjoy the one little flower pot.

Good job, PW!! Now I know that you have a flower fettish. :-)) I thought I was getting carried away with my five flower pots. Wow ... 28. that's a lot! Haha. Of course, you probably have a green thumb. I think mine is brown. Everything I touch ... DIES.

Looking forward to reading more,

~Brenda

Unfortunately, I have a black thumb when it comes to flowers, but I love them.

I wonder if I'll ever get to find my thumb. We're moving the summer too, so any gardening has been brought to a standstill. As for frost, the rule of, well, thumb, is to not plant until Memorial Day weekend. But...we are in a frost watch for tonight.
